From 1988 until now, the PlayStation lives on… Unfortunately, so do the PlayStation’s worst ever games.
Before we get started thinking about all the bad PlayStation games, here ’ s a little history lesson. A long time ago, in a galax not so far away, PlayStation ’ s history began. interestingly, at foremost Sony and Nintendo were working together to develop a disc-based cabinet known as the Super Disc ( This was in 1988 ) .
Nintendo was dominating the video game market at the fourth dimension, and of course, Sony wanted in on the action. deplorably, in the end, Nintendo cut ties with Sony and what was the Super Disc, never came into fruition. rather the PlayStation 1 came to be .
PlayStation (PS1)
The Original PlayStation brought video recording games to more households than any of the consoles before its time. In fact, it ’ randomness bequest inactive holds impregnable today with remakes or master PlayStation games hitting the shelves left, right and center !
obviously, the PlayStation ’ s success was most probably due to its large array of bang-up classics such as Crash Bandicoot, MediEvil, Rayman, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Silent Hill… Hell, the list goes on ! But, like with any game comfort, estimable games besides mean bad games .
When it comes to the worst PS1 games, most people would most likely choose Bubsy 3D, and I can see why. Released at approximately the lapp prison term as Super Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot, it honestly precisely doesn ’ t comparison. The graphics, controls, framerate. It ’ second merely all wrong, and I can ’ metric ton aid but think with a snatch more work Bubsy 3D could have been good… Well possibly ( A act like Croc : caption of the Gobbos. )
personally, the worst PlayStation game I ever bared witness to was a awful port of a game called Ubik…
Ubik is a bad point and cluck game initially released in 1998. The gameplay is decelerate, the graphics are blockish, and well everything is fair dull. The crippled uses ( chiefly ) only two buttons as you explore a badly rendered Blade Runner-esque earth. Just take a look at it !
Dis-honourable mentions : Celebrity Deathmatch, Planet of the Apes, Spice World, South Park .
PlayStation 2
With over 155 million units sold global, the PlayStation 2 inactive holds the crown for the best deal console table ever. So lease ’ sulfur have a look at another best, sorry not deplorable worst seller… Charlie ’ s Angels which, may I add probably sold about three units… Who knows, who cares ! ?
anyhow, Charlie ’ mho Angels is a beat ’ em up published by none other than Ubisoft. It is based on the first and second movies in the series and is basically a brainless buggy mess. Everything from the plot, sound effects, camera angles right through to the controls, bugs and AI… It is all just atrocious. I mean equitable check out the gameplay below .
Dis-honourable mentions : Catwoman, Army Men : park Rogue, Little Britain, Tomb Raider : Angel of Darkness
PlayStation 3
Giving the Xbox 360 a play for its money was the PlayStation 3. Offering exempt on-line services and well known Sony exclusives the PS3 provided great competition for Microsoft.

interestingly, the 360 and the PS3 both incorporated an on-line store which gave users the prospect to buy the like games they could acquire in-store at home, and this included single download-only games. These games would chiefly consist of arcade games at beginning ; in fact, it was rare to see a AAA deed in the on-line store at all in the early days .
Amy was meant to be a PlayStation exclusive that would bridge the opening between big-budget AAA titles and high choice low-cost downloadable entirely games…
unfortunately, the idea turned into nothing early than an abomination : non-existent collision signal detection and fabulously dirty history. arsenic good as awful controls and an infuriate checkpoint system, these are just a few of the many problems that plague this game. If I was to list all of the issues the list would be pages long. Check out some gameplay below .
Dis-honourable mentions : thor : God Of Thunder, Terminator Salvation, Tony Hawk ’ s Ride, Golden Axe : Beast Rider, Rambo : The Video Game .
PlayStation 4
Introducing the eighth coevals of gaming. A coevals that has gifted us some of the best games to date, enter the PlayStation 4. With amazing next-generation titles such as God of War, Horizon : Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Spider-Man ( PS4 ) you ’ vitamin d think that bad games would start to fade out… unfortunately, in a prison term of DLC, microtransactions, early access, F2P ( dislodge to play ) and specify on-line quality control, badly games seem to be hitting the market just ampere often as always .
Speaking of early access Life of Black Tiger is a game that would credibly fail to get by Steam Greenlight and that ’ s saying something… This said, it is available on PlayStation 4 and was promoted by Sony nonetheless…
liveliness of Black Tiger is the type of game that makes you feel ill. It is something you would expect to find available for personal computer in the early 2000s and come with a virus ( or possibly the game is a virus… I don ’ t know ) .
The fact that this game exists on PS4 is absurd. Gameplay constitutes of following ill translated commands that instruct you to ‘ collect smells ’ or kill a adjust number of people… I ’ ll let some gameplay do the talking…
Dis-honourable mentions : Tony Hawk ’ randomness Pro Skater 5, Knack, Horse Racing 2016, Putty Squad, Battleborn, Pay to win games .
Of course, many many games could have made this list, however, these are some of my worst titles for the PlayStation era .
