How to build Nook’s Cranny

You ’ ll need to bring him 30 Wood, 30 Hardwood, 30 Softwood, which can all be obtained by hitting trees with an ax, and 30 Iron Nuggets, which you ’ ll catch from hitting the rocks on your island. Learn how to repeatedly hit rocks to get up to eight resources from them and go on island tours using Nook Miles Tickets to gather extra resources .
once you ’ ve been able to pass Timmy all of those resources, he ’ ll get you place the build site for Nook ’ s Cranny and it ’ ll open the next day .
How to upgrade Nook’s Cranny
Upgrading Nook ’ s Cranny from its initial reside into something more like a General Store takes quite a bite of time. And time is what we believe is the one consistent gene hera.
Nook ’ second Cranny will upgrade 30 days after the store first opens .
Without time hop, we ’ ve played the game on two Switches since 1st March, and in both cases the store upgrade was announced by Isabelle 30 days after it opened .
however, there are lots of other theories for what might be a necessity to trigger the upgrade :
- Spend over 70,000 Bells at the store
- Spend over 250,000 Bells total
- Upgrade the Resident Services tent to a building
- Donate 30 fish, 30 bugs and 30 fossils to the Museum
- Over 29 days active playtime
however, we can not definitively back up any of these claims. On our islands we have done the follow :

As you can see, we can not back up the total spend at Nook ’ s Cranny or the Bugs donated claims. The only absolutely consistent points are that we upgraded Resident Services and reached the game credits, and that we played for 30 days after first opening Nook ’ s Cranny .
