Blizzard Sorceress Guide
insertion
The Blizzard Sorceress is one of the most ideal characters to start your travel in Diablo 2 Resurrected. With little item investment, the Blizzard Sorceress is able of destroying Andariel, Mephisto and Pindleskin, some of the most popular bosses for solo farm. You can get to these bosses in no time using Teleport with a decent Faster Cast Rate Breakpoint. The Blizzard Sorceress has first gear survivability, but is matchless as the best ladder newcomer with her amphetamine and versatility.
This human body has big Crowd Control with Cold Damage to Chill or Freeze enemies. however, Cold Immune gang can be unmanageable to deal with. The chief source of damage against these monster types comes from static Field and your Mercenary, until you put your final skill Points into Fire Ball.
Ideal Standard Setup
This build guide assumes you have a Character at Level 75 before transitioning to it. It follows the progression of our Sorceress Leveling Guide and our General Leveling Strategies to reach Level 75.

Damage
Blizzard* is your chief damage Skill. Icy spikes drop within a square on your target area. Cast this skill ahead of enemies so they have to move through it. note : Blizzard has a cooldown that can not be reduced by any means.
Ice Blast* shoots a medium-sized projectile that deals Cold Damage to the target it explodes on. Use this for extra damage on a unmarried target during the cooldown of Blizzard.
Glacial Spike* shoots an arrow shaped ice projectile in the management of your cursor. The rocket explodes on affect, dealing damage and freezing enemies in a humble sphere. Use this to deal extra damage and freeze groups of enemies.
Fire Ball* shoots a large rocket towards your aim that explodes on the first target it hits, dealing Area of Effect ( AoE ) Fire Damage. Invest your final skill Points into Fire Ball to deal with Cold Immune enemies. It ‘s more mighty in combination with Infinity.
* Faster Cast Rate Skills ( FCR )
Utility
Teleport* allows you to travel boastfully distances cursorily, and go through gaps and walls. This is what gives the Sorceress a huge advantage early on.
Telekinesis* allows you to interact with objects from a distance to save time. It can be used on your Stash, Waypoints, Portals, and utility items ( Potions, Scrolls, and so forth ). You can besides use it to Knockback gang and keep them stunned.
Static Field* deals Lightning Damage equal to 25 % of the enemy ’ s current Life. It can only bring a monster ’ second Life down to 1 in Normal, 33 % in Nightmare and 50 % in Hell. Use it on Cold Immune throng and bosses with senior high school Life pools.
Frozen Armor* freezes any enemies who use melee attacks on you. Ranged monsters are not affected by this at all.
Warmth* gives you some passive Mana Regeneration. It does n’t amount to much, but it ‘s only a 1 Skill Point Investment.
Frost Nova* explodes a closed chain of methamphetamine around you, chilling targets in rate. This Skill can be used in niche situations to buy more clock for your future move.
Cold Mastery* boosts the Cold Damage dealt to all of your enemies by piercing their cold Resistances.
* Faster Cast Rate Skills ( FCR )
* Skills that do NOT utilize either IAS or FCR

The areas below are well suited for this build to farm efficiently. While this build can besides farm other areas, we ’ ve selected these specific areas to make the most manipulation of the construct ’ randomness strengths. Please take special note of the danger charge, clear speed, item types, and Immunities that define these areas.
Anything that has a ✔ in the “ Starter ” column can be farmed with the Starter Variant.
While there are other Farming Spots in the game, some Builds clamber to efficiently farm those Areas. This may be because the Monsters in the Area are Immune to your primary damage type, or the Build lacks mobility to quickly progress to its objectives .

Mercenary
Your Mercenary can serve an fabulously authoritative character to the overall success of your build. Whether it ’ s serving as a front line tank, bringing a pivotal Aura to your armory, or employing physical damage to kill monsters with an Immunity to your skill set.
Act 2 Desert Mercenary
The Act 2 Desert Mercenary can be hired from Greiz. eminence : There are no limitations on hiring this Mercenary, meaning that you can hire one at Level 1.
He can be equipped with a Spear or a Polearm, a Body Armor and a Helmet.
Every Act 2 Mercenary has access to an Aura and uses Jab as his base Attack. The Aura will activate once the Mercenary has engaged in fight and will remain active between traveling to and from town. The Auras available are based on what difficulty you hire the Mercenary from .
Might Infinity
Insight, Might
We recommend the Might Aura version, as it provides us with a Mercenary that can deal with enemies that are immune to our main Damage source.
Infinity will provide us with a massive damage boost as it reduces the enemies Resistances and Defense due to its Conviction Aura. This Aura is besides capable of breaking some Immunities .

The Mercenary is hard to keep alive until you have the minimum gear recommended in this template. To help survive versatile scenarios, remember you can drag Healing Potions onto the portrait, or shift + 1/2/3/4 to immediately feed them a Healing potion from your belt. The Mercenary besides gains bonus Resistances from Thawing Potions and Antidote Potions.
If your mercenary dies in conflict, you can revive them from any of the Mercenary NPCs in each Act. This does come with an increasing cost, capping at 50,000 Gold. therefore keep that in beware and decide if the Mercenary is presently worth the monetary value .
Playstyle
General
- Cast Frozen Armor prior to entering combat situations to maintain it’s duration.
- Use teleport to move around and reposition your Mercenary. Your Mercenary stands a better chance of staying alive and taking on Cold Immunes teleport. He can act as a first line of defense after you teleport, catching incoming damage you would have taken otherwise.
- Use telekinesis to reach Waypoints, Town Portals, your stash and utility items (Potions, Scrolls, ect.) from a distance. These small time savers add up. It also afllicts Knockback to enemies and keeps them stunned. Use it to keep cold immune enemies stunned while your Mercenary takes them down.
- Cast Blizzard between yourself and melee enemies to force them to walk through the Area of Effect, dealing more damage and slowing them down.
- Cast Blizzard directly on top of ranged monsters and move away from them. They get hit more often when they move to chase you. Remember, kiting is key with Blizzard!
- Against dangerous groups of mobs use Glacial Spike to freeze most everything and deal Area of Effect (AOE) damage.
- Use Ice Blast to deal damage to single target bosses or mobs.
- Use static Field to bring down monster lifequickly. This is great for Bosses that are not Lightning Immune.
- Before your target dies, switch to your setup with more x % Better Chance of Getting Magic Items. This is especially beneficial for bosses!
- Don’t stand too close to your enemies as this build is squishy and can either get stuck in Faster Hit Recovery or die.
- Avoid killing mobs over non-walkable ground if possible, as they won’t drop items.
Immunities
- Keep enemies stunned with telekinesis while your Mercenary deals damage.
- If you do not have eternity equipped on your Mercenary, purchase a Lower Resist Charge Wand from nightmare Drognan. This is great against some Immune and highly Resistant monsters. Recharge it at a repair merchant or the Chipped Gem + Ort Rune Horadric Cube recipe.
Late-Game
- At the beginning of each run, buff yourself by swapping to Call to Arms and cast Battle Command 2 times, followed by conflict Orders. Then swap back to your main setup and cast Frozen Armor. Make sure these buffs stay active all the time as they are essential to your survivability.
- At higher Levels use Fire Ball against Cold Immune monsters in combination with eternity and your Mercenary to take them out quickly.

Teleport
- teleport instantly moves you to a selected square on the visible screen in which you can stand. The game will try to to place you within a small radius around your cursor even if it would be impeded normally.
- teleport is not obstructed by walls or other impediments but can fail if your cursor is not completely past them when cast. Your Mercenary and Minions are teleported with you, while traps are not.
- Certain Minions in large quantities can become “stuck” in position after teleporting. Move away from that position to give them the chance to spread out.
- You can “extend” the visible screen by opening UI-windows like the Inventory or the Character screen. This allows your cursor to reach further for a longer distance Teleport. Hold down teleport and drag your mouse to the edge of your screen.
- The Mana cost of teleport decreases with additional Skill Levels down to 1 Mana per cast.
- You can use “ESC” to open the menu in single player to pause the game after a teleport to determine if you are safe.
